A Prediction Method for Development Indexes of Waterflooding Reservoirs Based on Modified Capacitance–Resistance Models

Capacitance–resistance models (CRMs) are semi-analytical methods to estimate the production rate of either an individual producer or a group producers based on historical observed and injection rates using material balance signal correlations between injectors producers. Waterflood performance applied evaluate waterflooding effect forecast development index basis Buckley–Leverett displacement theory oil–water permeability curve. In this case study, we propose approach that combines capacitance–resistance model (CRM) modified by increasing influence radius constraints waterflood equation oil cut accumulative improve liquid prediction ability. By applying method, can understand performance, inter-well connectivities producer, fluctuation better, in order re-just water optimize producers’ working parameters maximize gain from reservoir. The new provides effective way conductivities wells single well groups CRMs. application results Kalamkas oilfield show estimated data be good agreement with actual observation small fitting errors, indicating forecasting capability.
